Make a batch of this festive cranberry holiday punch for your next holiday gathering. It’s naturally sweetened, tart, and so dang pretty!
I finally got my tree put up the other day.
There’s a theme to it, of course, it’s food. But you knew that already. I’ve got the most adorable doughnut, layer-cake, burger, and ice-cream ornaments on it. And to balance it out, I added some gold, silver, and black ornaments as well. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. Not because of presents or the artificial sense of it all but what Christmas means to me. To me, Christmas means family, giving, togetherness, kindness, and so much more.
The end of the year also brings about a lot of reflection for me. I think about what I’ve accomplished, what I still want to accomplish, goals, and everything in between. The year of 2016 was such a learning year for me. I went through a lot of difficult and challenging things. I’ve learned so much ya’ll, it ain’t even funny. Towards the end of 2016 though, I’ve gained a true sense of self and am on the road towards true happiness. I’ve made new friends and finally feel like I have a purpose in life. I’m so excited to welcome another year and crush all of the goals that I have.
But back to Christmas.
With the sake of sounding corny af, Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. I always seem to notice people feel a little more cheerful and exude kindness around the holidays. It gets you in the mood and there’s a real sense of community and togetherness. And food. Oh yes, can’t forget about the food. The holiday’s practically scream food. Everyone’s baking cookies, and pies, and roasting this and that.
This festive cranberry holiday punch will fit right in to your upcoming holiday gathering.
This punch is so easy to make yet it looks like it actually took some time. Like a traditional sangria recipe, I’ve added all the fruits to a pitcher and let the juices soak into the fruit overnight to give this drink more flavor. Cranberries are naturally sweet and tart on their own but I’ve also added a bit of orange juice and pineapple juice to give all the tartness a lift.
The festive cranberry holiday punch also makes a great holiday drink for those that don’t like to consume alcohol or for the kids. I’ve always noticed that during the holidays, there seems to be an influx of boozy drinks. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m game for some booze every now and then, but this punch will certainly do the trick. I hope you guys enjoy!
