It’s smoothie time! Strawberry banana protein smoothie time to be exact. I know you’re probably rolling your eyes thinking, yay, yet another smoothie recipe from another food blogger. But I promise you will love this recipe.
My favorite thing about this smoothie is that it’s super quick and requires minimal ingredients. With the kids back in school, this is a perfect treat to whip up for them. And let’s also be real, we’re all on some sort of “I’m watching my weight” type lifestyle, right?
This strawberry banana protein smoothie is perfect for a quick morning breakfast, pre/post work-out meal, and just about everything else.
When it comes to smoothies, my favorite kind always tends to have strawberries and banana’s in them. Aside from the strawbs and nanner’s, I’ve added medjool dates for a touch of sweetness, greek yogurt, protein powder, and fresh orange juice. This has been my go-to smoothie of choice lately and I’m not tired of it at all.
I’ve been seeing a lot of food/wellness bloggers really plugging the whole adaptogens in your smoothie thing. For those who aren’t familiar with adaptogens; they are a natural substance that is considered to aid the body in dealing with stress. Examples of adaptogens include ashwagandha, ginseng, astragalus, and a few others.
I didn’t add any adaptogens to this smoothie because I honestly feel like there is enough goodness in it already. It’s packed with nature’s candy, natural sugar, and plant-based protein. Enjoy!
This strawberry banana protein smoothie packs a significant punch; it’s super healthy and loaded with nutrients.
- 2 cups, halved strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt (plain or vanilla flavored)
- 2 medjool dates
- 1–2 scoops protein powder
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- Wash the strawberries and halve them.
- Remove the pit from the medjool dates.
- Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until well combined.
- Immediately pour into glasses and enjoy!
