Once you try these wildly easy Air Fryer Green Beans, it’s likely the only way you’ll ever want to cook them. Whip up a batch of tender yet crispy green beans with simple spices in under 10 minutes. This side dish is clutch when paired alongside hearty main entrees for weeknight dinners, holiday entertaining, and all else!
Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh haricot verts (or regular fresh green beans)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes- optional
- Lemon wedges, for serving- optional
Instructions
- Prep the green beans. Put the green beans into a colander and rinse the green beans. Then pat them dry with a paper towel. If the top part of your green beans isn’t trimmed, go ahead and trim that part.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, salt/pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Use your hands (fitted with disposable gloves if desired) to toss everything together until the green beans are fully coated in the mixture.
- Empty the green beans into the air fryer basket, and shake the basket to evenly spread them out in as much of a single layer as possible.
- Air fry the green beans for 10 minutes, tossing/shaking them at the halfway mark. If you prefer your green beans to have more of a crispy/charred texture, air fry for another 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer the crisp green beans to a serving plate or platter. Serve immediately with lemon wedges to squeeze a little brightness over the beans. Enjoy!
Notes
- Storing leftover green beans: Keep leftover green beans stored inside an airtight container and they will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through or pop back into the air fryer at 350°F for about 4-5 minutes.
