The truth is, I’m not a huge drinker. It’s true, I’m more of a social drinker. And by social drinker what I really mean is that I order one drink and then nurse same drink the entire night, ha! After settling into my new place, I’ve been wanting to add new pieces of furniture and aesthetically pleasing vibes also. One of those things that keeps calling my name is getting a bar cart. This is somewhat comical to those that know me personally because, well, I’m not one who knocks drinks back left and right. Hello, I’m definitely part of the lightweight team and I fully represent!

However, there’s something about bar carts and their essence that add some oomph to a home, right? It’s as if they scream adulthood or maybe they increase your coolness levels, I dunno. I love entertaining too so that’s always an added excuse mmkay. And I bought a ton of cocktail books to teach me all the basics, the classics, and more! But I will say that lately I have been playing around with drink recipes and becoming more and more of a lush (not really) since.

If there is one drink that ya girl does love and can have multiple of, it is for sure sangria!

Maybe it’s all the fruit that soaks into the wine or because it’s not as heavy/strong? I really don’t know but it is one beverage that I am in love with. This post was originally posted in November 2016 and I thought it was so fitting after 3 years to give it some much needed revitalization. Yup, this apple sangria blog post has gotten a complete makeover with new photos, updated words, and a better written recipe! It’s all cuz I luh you, boo! Also, I love me too and couldn’t stand to see the previous photos anymore, ha! Seriously speaking, I love this autumn apple sangria recipe so much and with the holidays approaching, I’m so happy to re-share this one. Like all of my recipes lol…it’s one I know you’ll love too.

Autumn Apple Sangria Ingredients:

  • White Wine: You can use any kind of white wine such as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Moscato, or Sauvignon Blanc. The white wine that I use exclusively when making this recipe is Pinot Grigio because it’s a light bodied, dry, and zesty type of white wine. But feel free to whichever you like!
  • Sparkling Apple Cider: This here is a naturally carbonated drink made from unfiltered apple cider. Adds more apple flavor and I always think of it as carbonated apple juice.
  • Orange Juice: Good ole oj adds some citrus notes and acts as a beautiful contrast against the apple flavor!
  • Brandy: The addition of this spirit is completely optional but adds a little punch and more bodied flavor!
  • Apples: I highly recommend honey crisp apples but feel free to use gala, fuji, red delicious, or mcintosh apples! Any red skinned, sweet + juicy apple will work great here!
  • Oranges: Just one of them! And again, like the orange juice, they’ll add some citrus to the apple sangria.
  • Pomegranate Arils: Add some color and added sweetness!
  • Cinnamon Sticks + Star Anise: Cinnamon sticks add some spice and help elevate the overall flavor and star anise acts as a great garnish.

This autumn apple sangria could not be more easier y’all.

Literally, just throw all the ingredients into a large pitcher. Then give everything a good stir and let sit in refrigerator overnight for best results. It’a lot like the saying goes: good things come to those who wait. The flavors get acquainted with each other, the fruit releases its juices and absorbs everything. If you’re looking for a great apple sangria recipe to make during the holidays, or heck, anytime of the year; this one is it. Can’t wait to see you create this one!
