Happy June, y’all! We’re halfway through 2025 and that is seriously crazy when I sit and think about it. I’ve always loved this month because June is my birth month, the start of summer dining, and much more! I’m living my best life outdoors being on the grill dang near every other day, ha. And of course I’m gonna share a good portion of my grilling adventures with ya.
On the agenda today is this spectacular grilled peach chicken that is my newest love. I can never get away from a good ole chicken recipe and this is one that’s been heavy in my rotation! I think you’ll dig it, too 💛!

Grilled Peach Chicken! 🍑
Like I said, a chicken recipe hates to see me coming. Because it’s one of my favorite protein sources, I enjoy finding new ways to develop an incredible chicken recipe. This grilled chicken recipe is super easy to put together and lip-smacking tasty! You see, it starts with a quick marinade loaded with bold flavor. The marinade has an abundance of depth that you’ll swoon over!
There’s a nice smoky-sweet vibe from the peach essence, whiskey, and balsamic vinegar to name a few ingredients. We’ll turn the marinade into a sauce to slather over the freshly grilled chicken. The result? You’re left with deeply aromatic, extra juicy, and flavorful chicken…yessirrrr.

Ingredients Needed For This Grilled Chicken Recipe:
(Note: the full ingredients list, including measurements, is provided in the recipe card directly below.)
- Chicken: I use chicken breasts but chicken thighs work, too!
- Peach preserves: Love the pop of peach essence throughout this grilled peach chicken recipe. I recommend Bonne Maman peach preserves because of their high quality and premium chunks of peach bits.
- Soy sauce: Adds a subtle umami note to the marinade.
- Whiskey: I use Crown Royal peach-flavored whiskey.
- Olive oil: Just a little to develop the marinade.
- Brown sugar: Adds a little molasses flavoring.
- Balsamic vinegar: Brings a bold complexity in the flavor profile.
- Garlic: No explanation, garlic is life!
- Dijon mustard: A nice zippy tang, oh yeah.
- Spices: Dried thyme, red pepper flakes, salt/pepper.

How To Make Grilled Peach Chicken:
(Note: please see the recipe card directly below for the complete written instructions.)

Grilling & Finishing Your Chicken:

- Simmer the reserved marinade– Place the reserved marinade in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Let the marinade simmer until warmed through then remove from heat.

Description
This Grilled Peach Chicken, whew. Say hey to your newest go-to staple during the summer season- it’s the best grilled chicken with a flavor-loaded, peach-forward sauce! For starters, this grilled chicken recipe features a quick, well-rounded peach-infused marinade that also transforms into a sauce. This recipe yields incredibly juicy and smoky-sweet chicken to pair with your favorite sides! It’s so unbelievably good!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless/skinless chicken breasts (or chicken thighs)
- ¾ cup peach preserves
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup peach flavored whiskey (we use Crown Royale)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt & fresh ground black pepper- to taste
- 2–4 medium peaches, halved & pitted- for garnish & serving- optional
Instructions
- Prep chicken. Pat the chicken dry with paper towel. Lay the chicken breasts on a cutting board and use a meat mallet to pound the chicken to an even thickness, about ½-inch thick. Then place the chicken breasts into a shallow baking dish or large resealable plastic bag, and set aside.
- To make the marinade: In a large bowl, combine the peach preserves, soy sauce, whiskey, olive oil, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, garlic, dijon mustard, dried thyme, red pepper flakes, and salt/pepper- to taste. Whisk the marinade until well combined. Reserve half of the marinade, and refrigerate.
- Marinate the chicken. Pour the remaining half of the marinade over the chicken breasts and toss to evenly combine and coat the chicken. Cover the dish with plastic wrap/foil or seal the bag and then refrigerate to marinate for at least 6 hours or up to overnight.
- Cook chicken. You can cook up your chicken in a variety of ways (indoor grill pan or traditional grill).
- To grill chicken: Preheat the grill with the indirect heat method to 400°F (medium-high heat) and lightly grease the grates. Shake off excess marinade and add the chicken breasts to the hot grates. Let the chicken grill for about 6-8 minutes per side or the chicken registers at least 165°F when checked with a meat thermometer. Then transfer the chicken to a serving platter for a few minutes to cool down.
- To grill peaches (optional): Brush the cut side of the peaches with a bit of olive oil and grill cut-side down for 3 minutes or until char marks form. Then set aside.
- Simmer the reserved marinade. Meanwhile, place the reserved marinade along with 1-2 tablespoons (if needed to loosen) of water in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Let the marinade simmer for a few minutes until warmed through then remove from heat.
- Glaze chicken & serve. Brush the grilled chicken with the marinade and garnish with the grilled peaches (if desired). Serve the grilled peach chicken immediately alongside your favorite sides. Enjoy!
