Happy spring, y’all! Aside from the fall season, spring (in a close tie with summer) is one of my favorite seasons of the year. The seasonal produce this time of year is amazing. Tulip bunches find their way into my cart almost every time I go grocery shopping, ha. Plus, I love all the springtime baking. I made this lemon pistachio cake that’s good, but needs some slight tweaking. However, this strawberry lemonade rosé sangria is right on time, and man, she is good.

Strawberry Lemonade Rosé Sangria 🍓🍋

I love a good strawberry lemonade and I also love me some sangria; I wanted to see what would happen if I brought the two together and BOOM. This sangria uses rosé wine as opposed to a classic red or white wine and brings a flavorful touch to this recipe. It’s perfectly sweet and deeply aromatic with heaps of strawberry lemonade magic! This sangria is a dream for entertaining, too!

Ingredients You’ll Need For This Sangria:

(Note: the full ingredients list, including measurements, is provided in the recipe card directly below.)

  • Strawberries: A whole pound of fresh strawberries that’ll release their essence in the batch of sangria and also soak up all that sangria goodness.
  • Lemon: Sliced lemon and fresh lemon juice for lotsa lemon-y vibes.
  • Strawberry syrup: I really like the added kick of strawberry flavor with this.
  • Rosé wine: The main star! Rosé wine leans more on the fruity/slightly sweet scale with a flavor profile of rose petals, strawberries, watermelon, and citrus.
  • Brandy: A pop of brandy comes in to provide some depth with its oak-y taste.
  • Ginger beer: Adds the perfect amount of ginger essence to give some contrast and cut through the sweeter flavors.
  • Lemon-lime soda: Another ingredient that amps up the lemon flavor while also bringing a little zippy, bubbly nature to the rosé sangria.
  • Rose water: I love the delicate, sweet, and aromatic punch of a little rose water in this recipe. It’s super aromatic and amplifies the rose flavor.

How To Make This Strawberry Lemonade Rosé Sangria Recipe:

(Note: please see the recipe card directly below for the complete written instructions.)

  1. Combine the sangria ingredients. In a large pitcher, add the chopped strawberries, sliced lemon, strawberry syrup, rosé wine, lemon juice, brandy, ginger beer, lemon-lime soda, and rose water. Give the pitcher a good stir to fully combine all the ingredients.
  2. Chill the sangria. Cover the pitcher vessel with a lid, if possible, or cover the top with plastic wrap for freshness. Then transfer the pitcher into the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours, more preferably overnight (8 hours). Chilling the sangria is crucial for deep, deep flavor.
  3. Serve sangria. Fill serving glasses with ice and pour the strawberry lemonade rosé sangria into glasses. Get a little helping of the soaked fruit + bits into each glass. Garnish glasses with a fresh sprig of mint, and sip away! 😎

Is Rosé Wine Super Sweet?

Now listen, rosé wine has a silly reputation for being a “sweet wine” when in reality, this type of wine can be quite dry with a touch of sweetness. But don’t get me wrong, some varieties on the market might be very sweet to almost syrupy. However, most rosé wines are not cloyingly sweet.

Tips + Tricks & Recipe Notes About This Rosé Sangria

Here are more tidbits that you might find helpful on this sangria recipe:

  • Can I use frozen strawberries? I prefer fresh strawberries in this strawberry lemonade rosé sangria but frozen would work.
  • Can I use other wine here? If you’re not using rosé wine, I’d recommend a dry white wine for this recipe as opposed to a red.
  • Chill the sangria! It’s tempting to want to pour it up, pour it up right after assembling the sangria, I know. But y’all, chilling is essential for the strawberries to release their flavor and steep and for all the flavors to meld. Overnight (8 hours) is best, but even 4 hours will be perfecto.
