On top of that, you’ll find that this drink comes together with a few items (only 4-ingredients 🙌🏾); and then it’s sip, sip- hooray! This recipe is the perfect quantity to serve 2 but can easily be doubled/tripled to serve more, it’s super customizable like that.

Ingredients Needed For Making This Frozen Mango Margarita Recipe
(Note: the full ingredients list, including measurements, is provided in the recipe card directly below.)
- Frozen mango chunks: This is what makes this margarita so thickity thick, frozen mango! I grab a bag of frozen mango chunks at the store for convenience. Otherwise, just ensure that the mango you use is frozen.
- Tequila: I use blanco (silver) tequila for this mango margarita.
- Lime juice: Adds a pop of tartness, acidity, and zippy zing.
- Guava jelly: I know some of y’all are like jelly?! Lol. Listen, I love the addition of guava here to amp of the tropical vibes and provide just enough sweetness. Jelly and jams in cocktails are one of my favorites. Use guava jelly or jam- or agave, honey, or simple syrup as the sweetener of your choice.
- For serving your frozen mango margarita: I love popular chili/lime seasoning, Tajín, for rimming the glasses. It’s literal besties with anything mango! However, if that’s not your thing, use sugar or plain salt to coat the rim.
How To Make A Frozen Mango Margarita
(Note: please see the recipe card directly below for the complete written instructions.)
- Step one. Prep your glasses by adding the chili/lime seasoning to a plate. Run a lime wedge around the glass rim to wet and then dip.
- Step two. Add the frozen mango chunks, tequila, lime juice, and guava jelly (if using) into a high powdered blender. Blend until super smooth.
- Step three. Pour the frozen mango margarita into glasses. Enjoy!
⇢ It blends up so creamy and thick and is such a refreshing treat to knock back on a hot day! That mango flavor with the hint of guava, whew.
Best Tequila For Margaritas
Your tequila choice matters for good flavoring, here is my $0.02 on it:
- Blanco (silver/white) tequila: This one is not aged in oak barrels which means it consistently delivers a pure and natural flavor. Additionally, since it is pure, it has a stronger profile. That pureness in blanco serves up the best frozen mango margarita! I personally love Espolon and Casamigos.
- Reposado (rested/aged) tequila: This one is blanco tequila taken and then stored in barrels. It’s aged for a few months and up to a year. While sitting in the barrel, it takes on a more golden hue with a warm flavor (like honey and caramel). I’d recommend this tequila as a second-best alternative to blanco.
- Añejo (extra aged/vintage): This one is reposado tequila but aged for much longer, beyond one year and up to three. The extra aging process intensifies the color and produces a rich-tasting tequila. As the flavor profile with this one is extra heightened, I don’t recommend using it.
Non-Alcoholic Frozen Margarita
For my NA friends, you can still enjoy this frozen mango margarita recipe, too! Simply replace the tequila with your favorite tequila alternative. One of my favorites is by this brand (very much tequila-adjacent!). You can also sub for any NA spirit or sparkling water (topo chico, la croix, etc.) as well.
Frozen Margarita Customizations/Options
I love this frozen mango margarita so much because mango flavor and nearly all tropical flavors run deep in my genes! However, you could also try frozen:
- Strawberry
- Raspberry
- Watermelon (peep my watermelon margarita!)
- Peach
- Mixed Berries
- Pomegranate (love this frozen pomegranate marg)
- and Pineapple
Serving A Crowd?
This frozen mango margarita recipe can easily go from serving ✌🏾to plenty more when doubled or tripled (and beyond!). Prepare this recipe the same way but make it in batches so as to not overcrowd your blender at one time.
