Mmmm, I love me some caramelized onion dip, y’all. It goes without saying that if you enjoy onion flavor, this dip is for you! It’s truly one of my favorites to have on deck whenever I’m entertaining or for whatever else. Listen, store-bought French onion dip has nothing on a homemade version, the flavor profile is unmatched. Let’s get into it!

- Sour cream: This comes in to balance the richness and kick up the creaminess.

- Mayonnaise: A little tang that hits with its flavor/fat.

How To Make French Onion Dip:

- In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Stir the mixture until well combined and smooth.
- Then add the room temperature caramelized onions, worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt/pepper- to taste, and chopped chives. Stir well until the mixture is evenly combined.
- Serve the caramelized onion dip immediately and enjoy ya life! 😛

What To Serve With Your Dip:
We love serving this dip with thick/sturdy potato chips (think chips with a ridge), and/or an assortment of veggies, crudité style (celery/carrot, bell pepper slices, radish, etc.). And anything else you might dig to go along with this caramelized onion dip!

Tips + Tricks & Recipe Notes:
- Storing your dip: Keep leftover dip stored inside an airtight container in the refrigerator; it will keep for 4-5 days. The dip may harden in the fridge; simply set it out on the counter before serving to reach room temperature.
- Room temperature ingredients: When assembling this dip, make sure that your cream cheese and caramelized onions are at room temperature. The cream cheese will blend seamlessly with the sour cream, and the onions cannot be warm/hot. This will ensure that the dip comes together perfectly without any lumps or change in texture.
- Adjust as desired: Feel free to add more worcestershire sauce, mayo, or seasonings to suit your personal preference, too!

Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) block full-fat cream cheese, room temperature
- 14 ounces (about 1 ¼ cups) sour cream
- 1 cup caramelized onions (<< click for recipe), room temperature
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Kosher salt & fresh ground black pepper- to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives
