Whew…easy skillet lasagna. Can I call this new recipe my most favorite? Like I know that every single recipe that hits this blog is my fave but this one has me head over heels, y’all. It’s like when you ask a parent who their favorite child is and they say all of them but deep down that’s a lie, ha! I’m kidding, I’m kidding.
I found inspiration for this skillet lasagna off the back of a pasta box I had used one day. The recipe called for basic + minimal ingredients that lacked oomph to me so ya girl added her spin on it and jazzed it up some. Nevertheless, here we are with this incredible, easy, and insanely delicious weeknight meal.
Skillet Lasagna Ingredients
(Note: the full ingredients list, including measurements, is provided in the recipe card directly below.)
- Ground sausage: feel free to use ground beef or ground turkey, if you prefer.
- Onion: one medium-sized onion, chopped.
- Oil: used as fat to sauté the sausage.

Love this, Eileen…so happy you guys enjoyed this skillet lasagna!
I made this exactly as written on a day close to 95° no a.c. turned on, it didn’t heat up the kitchen and we all just loved it. It tastes exactly like my Mom’s.
Next time I may throw in some crispy bacon and substitute the chicken broth for white wine. What a wonderful recipe for a lazy day.

Hi Janet, so glad you enjoy this one so much that it’s making a second round in your home, ha! And ugh, I’ve been having a few issues with my newsletter. Working on it! 🙂
I made this recipe once for my boyfriend while visiting him. He loved it so much, he’s made it himself four more times. I think it’s the only recipe he knows by heart. This skillet lasagna could only be easier/better if it cooked itself!

Haha love hearing this, Cat! So happy you guys loved this skillet lasagna too! 🙂
This is always a sure hit with my family. So so easy and the cleanup is minimal.
My noodles often stick together. Is that a noodle issue or am I doing something wrong? Still tastes delicious no matter what!!
★★★★★
Hi Amy- stirring the noodles frequently helps them to not stick as much- since they’re coated in starch when cooked in the sauce, stirring helps! 🙂
Can you use the oven ready lasagna sheets instead?
Hi- I haven’t tried this recipe using oven ready sheets but you could see if it works for you.
Have made this recipe twice now and the whole family loves it. The noodle pieces will stick together, so make sure to add them a few at a time, then stir, to make sure they don’t clump.
